Buying the first house, my first property
Lesson learned – don’t trust anyone, especially when talking about money.
The house had a Water leak, meaning the shower pan leaked.
Needed to be fixed before they sold the house, by law.
Real estate agent said they didn’t need to fix it. And Rich wanted the house and didn’t know they had to fix it so he said >>Okay<<
The price to fix the shower was about 16 grand. Yeah, So he wanted a nice shower!
>>Come to found out I needed a lawyer to fight this problem<<. Rich won and got about 22 thousand dollar. That was basically what they agreed to pay him. The real estate commissioner could probably lose their license over this situation. Because when they pull something like that on somebody it’s serious shit.
So Rich got a 22 thousand dollar liquid settlement and I got the shower pan completely fixed, 100 percent. And it ended up being a great situation.
Lesson learn – investigate, have knowledge of what you getting yourself into.
Do not take the real estate agents word, or a mechanics word, or anything else in life. Investigate and know what you are talking about.
Rich Piana also missed the “Walkthrough” before signing everything, checking that everything is clean, and it turned out the people living there left a lot of garbage he had to hire someone to get rid off.
